Print runs parallel to salvedge.Bush food (bush tucker) traditionally refers to any food which is native to Australia and is used as sustenance by Australian Aborigines. The story for this fabric depicts the hunter-gatherer lifestyle of the Aboriginal people. The artwork of this fabric shows women sitting by the water with their coolamon (wooden trays that stores food) and their digging stick. Colours include shades of green, tan, peach, gold, ivory and black.Marie Ellis is an Arrente and Warlpiri woman from Central Australia. Her homeland is Amoonguna Community approximately 20 minutes from Alice Springs.Her parents and grandparents played an active role in teaching her Dreaming stories and the values of her people including the language and the land.
