Aboriginal Art Spirit of the Bush 2 Jabiru and Kookaburra Cotton Quilting Fabric Panel is from the Spirit of the Bush 2 Collection designed by Chern’ee, Brooke and Jesse Sutton for Kennard and Kennard.
This fabric panel is 100% cotton and the panel measures approximately 33 inches x 43 inches. (83.82 cm x 109.22 cms).
Chern’ee Sutton. Chern’ee is an award winning, modern indigenous artist from the Kalkadoon people around the Mount Isa area in Queensland.
This fabric is called “Jullen Guh and Tankin” in the Kalkadoon language which means “The kookaburra and the Jabiru”. This design represents the grace and beauty of the Jabiru and how he performs a special dance for his one true love. The other birds watch in admiration of this special dance, all except the jealous kookaburra who laughs in the distance.
